Case History
Automatic Painting
The wooden window is a product that is normally custom-made and was traditionally made by the carpenter with many manual operations. The automation of the carpentry, thanks also to the contribution of CNI numerical controls and computer systems, today allows the production of window on machine lines in a completely automatic way even when the pieces are different from each other.
Painting is the completion of the production process and CNI has developed a software that, starting from the acquisition of the shape and dimensions of the window frame, builds a specific work program for the needs of each type of piece in compliance with the quality, finish and speed of execution, controlling the robot (Cartesian or anthropomorphic) through its own CNC; the software allows to manage the rotations of the piece for double-sided processing with master-slave robots, all without stopping the conveyors and managing the accessory functions (color change, head cleaning, etc.)
The innovation introduced has allowed our customers to obtain recognition during the Xylexpo trade fairs in the finishing section for having contributed to the creation of a system with a high degree of operational flexibility capable of painting frames, doors and windows continuously through a self-learning process.
